Letter of Inquiry Local Essay

Kenneth Wolfe,
I am putting together a research paper on the United States Welfare System and am wondering if you would be willing to answer a few questions regarding the subject.
A.      Do you think the welfare system is doing its job completely by providing all families in need with assistance?
B.      Are the requirements to receive welfare benefits to strict or do you think they are not stringent enough?
C.      Have you noticed any issues with the welfare program in the time that you have been working in the field?
D.      In your opinion, is the welfare system reducing poverty?
E.       What are the major ways, if any, that welfare recipients abuse the program?
F.       Are you in favor of welfare reform? Do you think it is accomplishing what it was made for; such as helping recipients transition from welfare to work?
G.     Have you seen any reports of welfare caseworkers not treating welfare recipients with respect?
H.      Are you for or against incorporating a drug test into the requirements for receiving welfare benefits?
I know your time is important, any input would be appreciated.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this inquiry.  I hope to hear back from you.

Sincerely,
Don Sanford

Dear Mr. Myers,
I am in the process of writing a research paper on MDG number one, The Eradication of Extreme Poverty and Hunger and am focusing my writing in the areas of Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.  If you have the time I am wondering if you would be willing to answer a few questions regarding the subject.
A.      Do you think that collectively organizations such as yours will succeed in coming close to or meeting the MDG number one?
B.      What are some of the factors that contribute to such high concentrations of poverty and hunger in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa?
C.      What are some more prevalent diseases that you have seen associated with poverty and hunger?
D.      How many people does your organization help on average annually or semi-annually?
E.       Can you briefly describe to me your path to get to your position and what made you choose your current line of work?
F.       Do you believe that there are enough organizations like yours out there and it will just take time to reach everyone or do you think there is a need for more?
G.     Where does most of your funding come from?
Thank you for taking the time to read this inquiry, any input or response would be greatly appreciated.  If you are unable to find the time to respond to this letter do you have anyone in mind to refer me to? Thanks again for your time and I hope to hear back from you.

Sincerely,
Don Sanford
